Twistedly, I’ll read almost any autism article I see, despite knowing it usually makes me grumpy. And despite my affectation of apathy lately, I find it curious that just mentioning Paul Offit makes my head spin ’round. Maybe it’s because of the abhorrent (and self-serving) purpose he has in getting Joe Q. Public to vaccinate. I mean, if you have patents on, and books about, vaccines, does that not appear to be a conflict-of-interest? Hmm? There’s no coincidence his nickname is Dr. Profit.
So again, when I see patently ridiculous statements like this:
“It’s been asked and answered: Vaccines don’t cause autism,” Offit says.
It makes me hope Dante has amended a special circle in hell, just for him.
I mean it.
.
ETA: Ha, I’m not the only one. Granted, not everyone believes the veracity of Kirby himself, but I do.

Even if I don’t comment or add to the discussion, know that I am following your links to autism/vaccine information & I really appreciated the Naked Authors/Cornelia Read piece. I actually read the CNN article before you posted it. I just love having intelligent, passionate friends because we all have our individual issues & causes & projects. You learned me good on this here topic. Thanks!
